In the midst of nature there are plenty of “meeting” with living things —animals, flowers, insects, etc, which could be a reason why those who wants to live in country side. But contrary to the richness of nature, life in country side can sometimes be poor in “meeting” with culture and, of course because there are literally less human, with people.
It had been the same case in Génolhac, a small town at the heart of Cévennes region in south-central France. The town with only 800 residents had almost no cultural place where people could always come together.
Pauline Roux, a town resident and the former archivist at the Cévennes national park, decided to create a place where people meets others and cultures; a bookshop!
The logo is a simple yet distinctive projection of the store concept and name; the bookshop that connects (people).
Interesting fact is Pauline was thinking about a similar idea, but she didn't tell me just because she didn't want to limit my explorations. So she said “you read my mind!”
